OUR STORY
Jo Stevens
I am a qualified chef, trained in Cornwall, England. Cooking runs in my family — I followed in my father’s footsteps — and my career has taken me to kitchens around the world. While working in a chalet in the Alps I met my husband, and I fell in love with cooking in France; we now live there with our two boys. A few years ago I worked on a luxury barge where I met Caroline; we instantly bonded over our shared love of food and the same sense of humor. In 2023 we dreamed up the idea of food blogging but didn’t get the chance to start. This year, back working on the barge Après Tout, we finally launched our project and began our journey as The French Tartlets.

Caroline has been cooking since a young girl!
I am Cordon bleu trained and started my career in the Lake District in the UK as an outside caterer, catering for prestigious events such as society weddings and for Lords & Ladies in Castles. Also I have worked in France on a number of luxury cruisers before finding myself in Long Inland in a private estate near New York catering for a wealthy family.
I now own and operate a luxury hotel barge called the Apres Tout, looking after and feeding 6 passengers with my husband and our Director of filming!
